This Code of Conduct ("Code") establishes the standards of behavior, ethical principles, and professional responsibilities applicable to all users of the Impacteers Platform ("Users"), including individuals, organizations, recruiters, mentors, tutors, and any other service providers.
This Code is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Serviceforms an integral part thereof.
Compliance with this code is mandatory and is governed by and subject to the Terms.
By accessing or using the Platform, Users agree to comply with this Code. Any violation constitutes a material breach of the Terms and may result in suspension, termination, or legal action at the Company's discretion.
1. Universal Standards (Applicable to all Users)
1.1 Integrity and Professional Conduct
1.1.1 Honesty and Transparency
- Conduct all Platform interactions truthfully, fairly, and in good faith.
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information in profiles, applications, and communications.
- Not engage in misrepresentation, fraud, impersonation, or identity theft.
- Promptly update information when circumstances change.
1.1.2 Respectful Communication
- Treat all Users with dignity, respect, and courtesy regardless of background, role, or status.
- Use professional language appropriate for a career-focused platform.
- Refrain from harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, hate speech, or abusive behavior.
- Respect diverse perspectives and maintain constructive dialogue.
1.1.3 Non-Discrimination
- Strictly refrain from discrimination based on gender, race, caste, religion, nationality, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
- Ensure equal treatment and opportunity for all Users.
- Report discriminatory behavior when observed.
1.2 Platform Integrity and Security
All Users shall
1.2.1 Lawful Use Only
- Use the Platform solely for lawful purposes in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Not post, transmit, or share unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harmful, misleading, or malicious content.
- Comply with intellectual property rights and not infringe third-party rights.
1.2.2 Security and System Integrity
- Not tamper with, hack, disable, or interfere with Platform security, functionality, or performance.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract data except as expressly permitted.
- Use strong passwords and secure access credentials appropriately.
- Report security vulnerabilities or suspicious activity to the Company.
1.2.3 Appropriate Platform Use
- Use Platform features for their intended purposes only.
- Not engage in spam, solicitation, or advertising of unrelated services without authorization.
- Not create multiple accounts for deceptive or abusive purposes.
- Not circumvent Platform restrictions or access controls
1.3 AI and Technology Ethics
All Users shall
1.3.1 Responsible AI Use
- Use AI-powered features (resume assistance, career advice, interview training, recommendations) responsibly and ethically.
- Not attempt to manipulate, game, or exploit AI systems for unfair advantage.
- Understand that AI outputs are informational only and exercise independent judgment.
- Not use AI tools to create fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, or deceptive content
1.3.2 Data and Privacy Respect
- Respect the privacy rights and personal information of other Users.
- Not misuse, exploit, or unlawfully share personal or confidential information obtained through the Platform.
- Comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws in all Platform activities.
- Report data breaches, unauthorized disclosures or privacy violations promptly.
1.4 Prohibited Sexual Misconduct
All Users are strictly prohibited from
- Sexual harassment, indecency, exploitation, or unwelcome sexual behavior
- Making unwelcome sexual advances, requests, or comments
- Displaying, transmitting, or soliciting sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic material
- Engaging in sexually suggestive, offensive, or inappropriate conduct
- Coercing or attempting to coerce Users into sexual or romantic interaction
- Abusing positions of trust, authority, or mentorship for sexual or romantic purposes
1.5 This prohibition applies to all Platform interactions and any context reasonably connected to Platform use, including virtual and in-person meetings initiated through the Platform.
2. Role-Specific Standards
2.1 Mentors and Tutors
In addition to Universal Standards, Mentors and Tutors shall
2.1.1 Professional Service Excellence
- Provide mentorship services diligently, professionally, and according to declared qualifications.
- Maintain current expertise and avoid misrepresenting qualifications, certifications or experience.
- Honor confirmed session schedules and provide reasonable notice for unavoidable changes.
- Personally deliver services and not delegate or outsource sessions to unauthorized third parties.
- Use Platform tools and AI assistance responsibly while maintaining personal accountability.
2.1.2 Mentee Relationship Management
- Not promise or guarantee specific outcomes (including without limitation employment, admissions, results).
- Maintain strict confidentiality of mentee information and communications.
- Not solicit, provide or accept direct payments, tips, or gifts from mentees outside Platform systems.
- Not solicit mentees for personal, promotional, or commercial purposes unrelated to mentorship.
- Not request or share personal contact details (e.g., email, phone, social media) outside the Platform without express Company authorization.
- Not engage in mentorship activities outside the Platform without Company authorization
- Obtain explicit consent before recording sessions or capturing interaction content
2.1.3 Professional Development
- Participate in required onboarding, training, and review processes as mandated by the Company.
- Accept feedback professionally and implement improvements as requested.
- Acknowledge that session materials and Platform-generated content may be Company intellectual property.
3. Recruiters and Organizations
3.1 In addition to Universal Standards, Recruiters and Organizations shall
3.1.1 Lawful Recruitment Practices
- Post only genuine, lawful job opportunities with accurate and complete details.
- Comply with all applicable employment, labor, and anti-discrimination laws.
- Not post fictitious, misleading, duplicate, discriminatory or expired listings.
- Not charge candidates any recruitment, placement, or processing fees.
- Verify authorization to recruit for posted positions.
3.1.2 Candidate Treatment
- Treat candidates with dignity, respect, professionalism, and fairness throughout the recruitment process.
- Use candidate information solely for legitimate recruitment purposes.
- Not misuse, sell, share or repurpose candidate data for marketing, resale, or unauthorized commercial purpose.
- Not harass, pressure, or exploit candidates, including by offering irrelevant roles, unpaid work, or unrelated commercial schemes.
- Provide timely, transparent and honest communication regarding application status and recruitment processes.
3.1.3 Organizational Accountability
- Ensure only authorized representatives access and use the Platform on the organization's behalf.
- Maintain appropriate data security measures for candidate and user information.
- Remain fully responsible for all actions taken by their representatives or recruiters using the organization’s account.
- Comply with applicable business licensing and regulatory requirements for recruitment activities.
4. Reporting and Enforcement
4.1 Reporting Violations
4.1.1 Reporting: Users should report Code violations through
- In-Platform Reporting: Use built-in reporting features for immediate issues.
- Email Contact: policywatch@impacteers.com for detailed reports.
- Emergency Situations: Contact local authorities for illegal activities or immediate safety threats.
4.1.2 Reports: Reports should include
- Description of the violation and surrounding circumstances.
- Relevant usernames, content, or communications.
- Date, time, and location of incidents.
- Any supporting evidence or documentation.
4.2 False Reports
Knowingly submitting false, misleading, or malicious reports is itself a violation of this Code and may result in disciplinary action.
4.3 Investigation and Response
The Company reserves the right to
- Monitor Platform activity and investigate suspected violations.
- Remove content that violates this Code.
- Suspend, limit or restrict User access during investigations.
- Require additional verification or documentation from Users.
- Cooperate with law enforcement agencies as required by law.
4.4 Disciplinary Actions
Violations may result in
- Written warnings and educational guidance.
- Temporary suspension of Platform access or features.
- Permanent account termination and removal from Platform.
- Content removal or restriction of posting privileges.
- Legal action including cooperation with regulatory authorities.
4.5 Severe violations
(including without limitation sexual misconduct, fraud, illegal activity, safety threats) may result in immediate account termination without prior warning.
4.6 Due Process
Users shall be given reasonable opportunity to respond to allegations before disciplinary measures are imposed, except where immediate action is necessary to protect User safety, Platform security, or legal compliance.
5. Amendments and Updates
5.1 The Company may update, revise or supplement this Code periodically to reflect:
- Changes in applicable law or regulation.
- Evolution of Platform features, tools and services.
- Community feedback, trust and safety improvements.
- Industry best practices and ethical standards.
5.2 Version Control
In case of conflict between earlier and later versions of this Code, the latest version shall prevail.
6.1 Updates become immediately effective upon publication on the Platform.
6.2 Continued Platform use and access constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
6.3 Users are encouraged to review this Code regularly and contact the Company with questions or suggestions for improvement.
